Making Payments Through CasaPay

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Always Pay Through CasaPay

Do NOT pay operators/landlords or vendors directly via bank transfer, wire transfer, or cash!

If you've already made a direct payment to your operator/landlord or any vendor (utilities, cleaning, etc.):

  • Your CasaPay wallet will still show the payment as "unpaid"

  • You lose CasaPay guarantor coverage and protection

  • The payment won't be tracked in your CasaPay system

  • Contact CasaPay support immediately to resolve this situation

Why this happens: CasaPay can only track and guarantee payments made through the CasaPay platform. Direct payments to operators/landlords or vendors bypass our system entirely.

How Payments Work

All your rental expenses must go through your CasaPay wallet:

  1. Operator/landlord or vendor sends invoice to your CasaPay alias email

  2. You receive Payment Request (PR) in your wallet

  3. You have minimum 5 days to review and choose payment option

  4. CasaPay guarantees payment to operator/landlord or vendor on due date

  5. You pay CasaPay with your chosen method and timeline

Your Four Payment Choices

1. Pay Button (Immediate Payment)

  • Pay the full amount right away

  • Guarantor fee included in total amount

  • Instant confirmation and receipt

  • Operator/vendor receives guaranteed payment immediately

Example:

Rent Invoice: €1,500
Guarantor Fee (6%): €90
Total Payment: €1,590

2. Split Button (Installment Payments)

  • Convert any payment into installments

  • Guarantor fee distributed across all payments

  • Automatic payment scheduling

  • Option to pay early anytime

Example:

€1,590 total 4 payments of €397.50 each
Week 1: €397.50
Week 2: €397.50
Week 3: €397.50
Week 4: €397.50

3. Share Button (Split with Others)

  • Divide payment among roommates, family, or friends

  • Each person gets individual payment request

  • Everyone pays proportional guarantor fee

  • Automatic coordination and status updates

Example:

€1,590 rent split with 2 roommates:
You pay: €530 (€500 + €30 fee)
Roommate 1: €530 (€500 + €30 fee)
Roommate 2: €530 (€500 + €30 fee)

Understanding Your Monthly Costs

Fee Calculation Example:

Monthly Expenses: Rent: €1,200
Utilities: €150 Internet: €45
Total: €1,395
Your Guarantor Plan: 6% annual rate
Monthly Guarantor Fees: €1,395 × 6% ÷ 12 = €6.98 vs Traditional €1,500+ deposit locked up for years

Remember: Always use CasaPay for payments to maintain your coverage and protection!
