## General

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is CasaPay?">
    CasaPay is a rental finance platform that connects tenants and professional rental operators. It brings together verified identities, clear payment requests, deposit management, and eligible financial products — all in one place. The goal is to make renting simpler, more transparent, and more accessible, regardless of your background or where you're renting from.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is CasaPay free to use?">
    The **CasaPay Starter** plan is completely free. It includes a verified CasaPay ID, a reusable tenant profile, deposit escrow, a wallet supporting cards and open banking, and Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you want access to the no-deposit move-in option and other premium features, you can upgrade to **CasaPay Plus**, which starts from €10 per month or 2% of your deposit requirement. Fees and eligibility apply.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I get started?">
    Create a free account at [tnt.casapay.com/register](https://tnt.casapay.com/register). You'll go through a verification step to establish your CasaPay ID, after which you can explore homes, pay rent via RentLink, and access eligible CasaPay features. You can also browse available homes at [casapay.com/tenant/offers](https://casapay.com/tenant/offers) before creating an account.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is CasaPay available in my country?">
    CasaPay is currently launching in select markets. Availability depends on your operator's setup and the market they operate in. During the current pilot phase, listings are focused on Estonia. Check [casapay.com/tenant/offers](https://casapay.com/tenant/offers) to see what's available, or ask your operator whether they use CasaPay.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does CasaPay work for students and international renters?">
    Yes. CasaPay is designed to help anyone navigate renting, regardless of their background, nationality, or renting experience. The verified CasaPay ID and reusable tenant profile are especially useful for international renters and students who may not have a local rental history or are unfamiliar with local rental norms.

## Payments and RentLink

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is a RentLink?">
    A RentLink is a tenant-ready payment request created by your operator and sent through CasaPay. Unlike a plain bank transfer or invoice, a RentLink includes your property details, lease period, payment amount, due date, and operator identity — all in one place. Every payment made through a RentLink stays connected to your tenancy record.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How is CasaPay different from a normal bank transfer?">
    A standard bank transfer is just a movement of money with a reference number. A CasaPay RentLink is a structured payment request that includes the rental context — operator, home, amount, period, and due date — attached to the payment itself. This means payments are automatically reconciled, your payment history is clear, and if you ever need support, the relevant context is already accessible.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What payment methods does CasaPay support?">
    CasaPay supports cards (debit and credit), open banking (direct bank-to-bank payments), Apple Pay, and Google Pay. The methods available to you may vary depending on your location and how your operator has set up their RentLink.

## Plans and features

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is deposit escrow?">
    Deposit escrow is a secure way to hold your rental deposit. Rather than paying your deposit directly to the operator and hoping it's returned at the end of your tenancy, CasaPay holds it in escrow — linked to your tenancy and operator. This gives you a clear record of what was paid and when. Deposit escrow is included in the free CasaPay Starter plan.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How does no-deposit work?">
    The no-deposit option is available through **CasaPay Plus**. Instead of paying a traditional cash deposit to the operator at move-in, eligible tenants can access CasaPay's guarantee-backed alternative. This keeps more of your money available for the life that starts after you move in. Fees apply (from €10/mo or 2% of the deposit requirement), and eligibility depends on the home, operator, and applicable terms. Not every property supports the no-deposit option — look for the **0€ Deposit Option** badge on listings.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is CasaPay Plus?">
    CasaPay Plus is CasaPay's paid tenant membership plan. It includes everything in the free Starter plan, plus the no-deposit move-in option for eligible homes, access to Split payments, and Perks and discounts. It starts from €10 per month or 2% of your deposit requirement. Visit [casapay.com/tenant/casapay-plus](https://casapay.com/tenant/casapay-plus) to learn more.

    <Note>
      CasaPay Split (split payments) is a product preview and is not yet available to all tenants. Features and availability may change before general release.
    </Note>
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is Tenant Protection?">
    Tenant Protection is a set of clarity features that keep your rental context, payment status, and support history connected throughout your tenancy. It's available on eligible rentals and is not a paid add-on. It does not guarantee a specific outcome, but it ensures you always have a clear record and a useful starting point if you need support. See the [Tenant Protection page](/tenants/tenant-protection) for full details.
